WEDDING CINEMATOGRAPHY

At Electric Fire Films, we like to use the term cinematography in place of videography.  While we use video cameras to capture your wedding or event, it is done in an artistic and cinematic way.

First of all, we know that at a wedding, the bride and groom are the stars.  It is your story.  Our priority is in capturing the emotions of that in the truest and most beautiful way.  We like to think of the rest of the wedding party: the maid of honor, the best man, the parents, etc. as the supporting cast.  They are important, but should not steal the show.  Next you have the guests, who are the extras in your epic tale.

While we are at your wedding, we are always looking for the most unique angles for interesting compositions.  We employ the full range of camerawork techniques available to us.  Every method: from mounting the camera on a tripod, to spontaneous hand-held expressions, to the fluidity of a camera dolly.  We use the most creative camera moves for each scene or situation.

ELECTRIC FIRE FILMS provides coverage for:

  1. Weddings

  2. Quinceaneras

  3. Events & Performances

  4. Meetings

  5. Parties

CINEMATIC HD VIDEO

All of our videos are produced with high quality, high definition

camera technology.

This gives you the best quality, even if you don’t

need or want HD yet.  In the future you probably will.

We’ve got you covered.

Check out our EQUIPMENT page for more detailed information.

DISCRETE AUDIO

During the wedding ceremony, all audio is captured with small and discrete wireless microphones.  This ensures that your wedding vows will be picked up with crystal clarity.  The microphone and transmitter is so small that you will not even be aware of it.

WE’RE FILMMAKERS

The fact that we also produce our own films, is something that gives us a different creative perspective on capturing weddings and events.  We believe that any technique that is useful in cinema, if it can be used in wedding or event coverage, then we will employ it.

All editing is accomplished on Final Cut Pro equipped Mac Pros.  Basically these are industry standard video and film editing powerhouses.  Many feature films, commercials, and music videos are edited on Macs with Final Cut Pro.  We use it because it has tools that allow us to unleash our creativity and also because it is a completely reliable piece of hardware.

We do not use any cheesy or inappropriate editing effects or transitions.  In keeping with our cinematic philosophy, we use only what a professional feature film would use.  These are your basic cuts, dissolves, and the occasional fade to black.  That’s it.  Simple, effective, and classy.

After the initial edit, we rely on high-end digital color correction software.  We can create everything from classic black and white looks to extreme or experimental-style looks to make the your video pop out from the screen.

Now, all this talk of video popping out from the screen might worry some of you.  This description does not imply that we will use loud and inappropriate effects.  Actually, the opposite is true.  We believe that any effects should be subtle, so as to not distract from the actual story, which is what is actually happening at your wedding or event.  Remember, you are the star, not us.
